This obviously rallied the internetempowered masses to their battle stations, and the fully graduated keyboard warriors, along with some genuinely offended tattooees, took the interwebs to make their voices (and threats) heard, for everyone to see.īut, after I finished reading the article, skeptical of the intension of the writer, I began digging. The article I read had been posted to Facebook via (an apparent tattoo based dating site), so after a small amount of link clicking and name googling, I eventually turned up at (RoK), the original source for the article. The language and style used is almost as outrageous as the actual message it is trying to convey it is emotive to say the least. From the off, it is a full frontal offensive against girls with tattoos and piercings that outlines how only the “broken” to “mutilate” their body in such a way. Upon first viewing, the article makes for a shocking read. But while people were jostling online to have their own opinions heard amongst all the fiery abuse being blasted at Matt Forney(the writer of the dreaded article), they missed what he was actually doing with the article and ironically turned themselves from the victims of a mega-troll, to nothing other than internet bullies. A controversial article that hit the internet on Monday, outwardly offensive to tattoo’d peoples at large, took particular aim at ink’d girls, dubbing them “slags who fall in and out of guys’ beds”.
